Let me start off by saying, I LOVE the Proform Power 995! For the price you pay you get an incredible treadmill bundled with features that both a long time runner and someone new to the sport will find useful and refreshing. It even folds up to take up very little space. It does has a few small issues (putting it together) but nothing serious and nothing that would put me off it. Before we get into the review lets start by looking at the features it packs:

Proform Power 995 Treadmill Review
When you first get the Proform Power 995 delivered you will have to spend a couple of hours putting it together. I did it myself without any problems, however you might find it easier if you can get a friend or a partner to help you – at least at certain points when it does get a little tough by yourself. Once put together you should notice how firm it all feels – it is a gym quality treadmill. It is a pretty big treadmill to have in the house, but it folds up nicely to in a closet or against a wall.
Once switched on the first thing that will hit you (or not hit you!) is how quietly it runs. That is great news for anyone who likes to watch tv, listen to music, or just quietly contemplate whilst running.
If you are not interested in all the additional features it packs you can just switch on one of the many pre programmed workouts and get running. But as I am always interested in features lets have a look at a few:
iFit Live Technology
If you have never used (or better yet heard) of iFit Live, you are in for a treat. Basically IFit live connects you to the net or Iphone and stores and tracks your workouts, lets you create or download loads more workouts, allows you to track you meals etc. The best thing about it, in my opinion, is that it is integrated with Google Maps. That means that you can choose just about any route in the developed world to go on a run in. Fancy going for a run in your neighbourhood but it is a bit to cold? No problem, program in the workout and do it in your living room. Practising for a marathon? The New York, London, etc? Why not go for a run on the actual marathon route with the proform power 995 automatically adjusting for the slopes on the run. If you want to really recreate it, hook up your laptop or iphone to the google maps route, go to street view, and watch the route you are running. Pretty cool right?
Iphone Workout Compatibility
Record your results straight onto your Iphone (or, I believe, most other modern smart phones).
Cushion Deck
Basically it comes with extra suspension below the base to absorb more of the power you legs put into it whilst running. This means you are going to get a more comfortable run whilst keeping you legs (knees and ankles) protected.
Conclusion:
For the price, this is an excellent treadmill. The parts are solid (except, my only little gripe, the hand rails are a bit lose – I suspect that may be down to me putting it together badly) the features and specs are great for this kind of budget and it saves a lot of space thanks to being able to fold it up. It might not be the best treadmill money can buy, but it is the best treadmill this much money can buy.
